Ayutthaya: Must-See Temples, Ayothaya Floating Market and Bang Pa-in Palace

★★★★★★★★★★

Excellent day out!

Our guide was Nat who was excellent; he was prompt, car was super clean, provided water, umbrella and some guide books. He took us to many different temples and told us the history of each. The admission was included for all and Nat organised all of this. At one temple he bought gold leaf for us to put on the Buddha for good luck and taught us about Buddhism For lunch we went to the floating market where we had delicious boat noodles (he has tried all in the area to find the best, not included in tour price) and even went back to get us correct change after realising we had overpaid. We then walked around and tried sweets (he recommend we not buy anything here as the shops are overpriced and for Chinese tourist whose guides get commission). We really enjoyed our time and it was refreshing to spend the day with someone who genuinely wanted us enjoy our time while sharing their culture and was not doing it for the money. We felt safe at all times, were never rushed, Nat took lots of great photos for us and we think it was great value. Highly recommend.
