Mae Kajan Hot Springs

If you are interested in spas or hot springs, there is a place in Northern Thailand called Mae Kajan Hot Springs located in Chiang Rai. Whoever travels from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai or from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai will have to pass Mae Kajan Hot Springs. Thus, this is a good stopping point for travel between the two places. 

There are 3 original natural hot springs in Mae Kajan Hot Springs with the temperature reaching up to 80 Degrees Celsius. Here, you can try boiling chicken or quail eggs for 5 minutes. Locals say that eggs boiled from the pond are more delicious and fragrant than those from the gas stove because of the sulfur in the water here. Of course, you are allowed to buy eggs and boil it in the hot spring. What’s fun is when you boil the eggs in hot water, you’ll have to guess when the eggs are cooked to the desired level.
