Mae Ngat Dam is located on the Ping River, Mae Chaeng District, Chiang Mai. It’s also located in Sri Lanna National Park as well. The entrance to the dam is approximately on Highway 107. (Chiang Mai - Fang route), 50 kilometers away from the city, which takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to get there. Mae Ngat Dam began construction in 1977 and finished in 1984. Mae Ngat Dam is one of the most famous dams in Chiang Mai due to the beautiful scenery surrounded by green mountains.
