Did you know that there’s another huge reclining Buddha image in Ang Thong? With a high-tech main hall. We’re sure you’ll only have the chance to see the main hall like this only at Wat Khun Inthapramun, Ang Thong!

Wat Khun Inthapramun is located at Pho Thong District, Ang Thong, approximately 7 kilometers from Ang Thong’s city center. It’s known that the temple was built in the Ayutthaya period by Khun Inthapramun. As for the reclining Buddha, it was built before that since the time of Phraya Le Thai. The said reclining Buddha is 50 meters long, which is considered as the second-longest reclining Buddha in Thailand.

Currently, the reclining Buddha is staying outdoors, not within the temple like another reclining Buddha. Since the original temple would have been broken for a long time as can be seen from the pillars that still appear around the reclining Buddha. Around the Buddha there are many large trees growing around, resulting in a natural calm that is different from the atmosphere in the temple. The high-tech main hall of the temple was built by the abbot of the temple, making it the first and only Buddhist temple in Thailand that has both an elevator and an escalator for visitors.

Not only you’ll avoid the hassle of getting there on your own (which is quite difficult), but you’ll be picked up directly to enjoy a comfortable ride both to and from the temple.
