Heading to Ayutthaya will take approximately 2 hours by using the express way. In this way, we can enjoy the view along the way with our driver, and me, your local guide!
First place to visit: Wat Yai Chaimongkhon Temple. This is the biggest pagoda in the whole of Ayutthaya. Also known as “The Monastery of Auspicious Victory”, it is where we will make merit together!
The next place we'll go to is Wat Ratchaburana Temple. This is where the tomb lies, and where tremendous treasures are thought to be stored. We will climb down inside the monument as well!
Tourists from around the world also come to Wat Maha That Temple to see Buddha's head, entwined in the roots of a Bodhi tree. The ruins was where the kingdom's Supreme King lived. There is also a huge pagoda which stores the relics of the Lord Buddha.
Let's have lunch (at your own expense) at the riverside restaurant (open air and air-conditioned) with a combination of Thai food and drinks. There is also clean toilet available :)
Long-tail boat ride time! Take our private local long-tail boat along the 3 rivers that surround the Ayutthaya Capital Island. We will stop to feed fish to make merit in front of the temple's riverbank. Then, we'll drive though the famous ancient ruins.
Wat Chaiwattanaram Temple is our next place to visit. This temple follows the concepts of the Khmer mountain temples of Angkor to symbolize the universe in Buddhist and Hindu cosmology. These ruins are perfect for some photo opportunities!
Time to walk to 2 more temples! We'll stroll around the biggest reclining Buddha in Ayutthaya at Wat Lokayasutharam. Then we'll go to Wat Worachet Tharam for the Smiling Buddha and the Ruins Tower!
The last two temples we'll visit are Wat Phra Sri Sanphet Temple and Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit, which is in Wat Phra Sri Sanphet area. Here consists the three large bell shaped stupas (or chedis) standing on an elevated platform. It was a Royal Temple without resident monks in the Grand Palace Area. Feel free to take pictures!
Time to go back Bangkok! Around 16:00 to 17:00 depending on how long we spend time in the city. The way back should also take around 2 hours.

Friendly Fun Interesting
I had a wonderful day with Polly who went above & beyond making my precious day off work in Bangkok, an extra special one. She was so friendly & knowledgable & made me feel like I was getting a real intimate local experience of the temples & their history. I would highly recommend & hope to go touring with Polly again!

Amazing Day in Ayutthaya
We spent the day in Ayutthaya with Polly, and I can’t recommend it enough! Polly was punctual, extremely knowledgeable and spoke impeccable English. She was able to answer all of our questions and she taught us so much about the history and culture of Thailand. Truly invaluable! We had our two kids along, and she was great with them! In fact, our kids now want to hang out with her regularly! :) Polly’s suggestions on how to structure the day were perfect, and the lunch was the best Thai food we have had. She created some very cool experiences at the temples that we never would have had on our own. I could keep going all day with more details about how great our tour was, but I will just say a private tour is the way to go, Polly is the best, and our day was perfect!!

Unforgettable, Exceptional, FUNtastic
I would highly recommend Polly for any trip. My itinerary was professionally planned and executed. She and Mr Pan arrived before time to pick me up from my hotel. That is a huge achievement in Bangkok traffic.
As soon as I got in the car Polly supplied me with snacks and water for the day. She didn't have to do that, but she went above and beyond.
Not only is she a highly skilled tour professional, she is a great Historian. She makes learning history and culture so easy with her detailed stories and conversations. At each point she had activities planned for me to do throughout the day. A tuk tuk ride, a boat ride, feeding the fish etc, praying to Buddha. The highlight of the day for me was to actually get to row a boat with Miss Tip, a local boat owner. It was sooo fun.
I met Polly as a local tour guide in the morning, but by evening I felt she was a friend and sister.
And as a bonus she is a skilled photographer and knows the perfect spots for great photos which I would have missed. She took photos of me at great locations.
I would highly recommend a trip with Polly. She is the BEST!
