Itinerary

08:00

Meet up at Railway Station (Hua Lamphong Railway Station)

08:15

Meeting point is Black Canyon Coffee Shop at the 1st floor, be there not later than 08:00 a.m. We will take the 08:20 a.m. train from Bangkok to Ayutthaya, and slowly let the Thai capital behind us....

09:45

Arrival at Ayutthaya train station and cross the Pasak River by boat to Ayutthaya Island. Time to start cycling and exploring some of the most famous temple ruins in this once so mighty and prosperous city!

10:00

By bike we visit Wat Mahathat, Wat Ratchaburana, Wat Phra Si Sanphet and Wat Lokayasutharam. We will enjoy a Thai lunch at a local restaurant and you can try 'Roti Sai Mai', a delicious and famous sweet dessert from Ayutthaya.

15:30

Take the train back from the ancient city of Ayutthaya to Thailand's modern capital city. Arrival in Bangkok will be around 17:00 p.m. Upon arrival in Bangkok you can take the MRT (subway) or I will assist you with a taxi back to your hotel.

Things to prepare for the trip

You will visit temples, so you are expected to dress respectfully. I recommend to wear longer shorts (knees covered) and to have your shoulders covered when we enter the temple. Bring a cap and sun lotion for sun protection.
