Thonburi is the old town and was also the capital city of Siam. There are lots of tourist attractions here. However I recommend Kudi-Chin, the old community of Thonburi and the Temple of Dawn. Both places are the icon of Thonburi.
Meet up at BTS Station (Saphan Taksin)
Take the boat from the Sathorn Pier to the Sapan Put Pier. After that go to Kudi-Chin community by walking across Puttayodfa or Memorial Bridge. (You can see the beautiful scene of Thonburi on this bridge.)
Arrive at Kudi-Chin Community and visit Santa Cruz Church and the community around here as well as the local museum where tell you about this community first.
Visit Chinese Shrine (The Goddess of Mercy); You can see and learn the Chinese art and culture from this shrine.
Have lunch in the area of Santa Cruz Church (You can try some kind of traditional food of Kudi-Chin community in this area.)
Visit Wat Gallaya; In this place you'll see the mixture of Thai and Chinese Art culture
Walk to the Muslim community where you can find the mosque in a traditional Thai style (Guaranteed that you've never seen it before)
Visit Wat Hong Rattanaram, the hidden and peaceful temple of Thonburi.
Visit the Temple of Dawn (The Great Main Prang is the landmark of here)
Return to the Sathorn Pier by taking Chao Phraya Express Boat at Wat Arun Pier.
Arrive at Sathorn Pier and end the nice trip at this point!
Transportation fares are included.
Admission fees are included.
Meals are excluded
Sun screen (If you don't like the sun light in Bangkok) Hat Umbrella (maybe it's raining) Some money for shopping
Thonburi is the fascinating of Bangkok. My trip doesn't present you only culture from visiting temple but you also insight the way of life of Thai people by visiting old community of Thonburi and still try to eat traditional Thai dessert from here.
