Phanom Rung Historical Park or Prasat Hin Phanom Rung is located in Buriram province in the Northeast of Thailand. It is one of the most impressive and significant Khmer-style temples in Thailand. The name “Phanom Rung” is adapted from the Khmer word “Wanang Rung”, which means “vast mountain”. There is a natural phenomenon of sunrise and sunset through its 15 doorways which occurs four times in a year.
