09:00

Meetup at Guest’s Hotel (in Metro Manila Area)

10:00

Start your Food Crawl with a short tour of Binondo Church, the heart of Chinatown. This centuries old place of worship has seen countless devotees, and is a testament to the unity of the Filipino-Chinese Community.

10:30

It’s a five-minute walk through the vibrant and hectic Binondo streets to our first food stop:
Quik Snak! This hole in the wall restaurant off Carvajal Street has been serving Chinese Fusion dishes for more than half a century. The recipes for a lot of the best sellers, like Lumpia and Kuchay-Ah, the dishes you’ll be trying out, have been passed down from generation to generation!

11:15

Next up is Binondo’s best teahouse! Ying Ying Tea House, founded in 2000, is a Hong Kong Style community tea house from one of the best restaurant operators in Manila.
Try out their authentic Dimsum and Tea along with some of the more Filipino style dishes!

12:00

We’ll go on a little detour to get to know more about Escolta: The Queen of Manila’s Streets!
This area used to be Manila’s retail capital and was once the most important address in the Philippines. Explore the heart of the urban renewal programs that aim to preserve this historic area at HUB:
Make Lab where you just might find some excellent and affordable steals!

12:30

For lunch, we’ll proceed to the Philippines’ Oldest Restaurant! Founded in 1886, New Toho Food Center had served some of the Philippines’ founding fathers like Jose Rizal and Antonio Luna! Try out their signature Canton-style dishes like Canton Noodles and their take on a Filipino Classic, Toho Beef!

13:15

We’ll walk right back to the heart of Chinatown through Ongpin Street: the Jewelry Capital of Manila!
On the way, we will definitely try out some of the best street food Binondo has to offer: Shanghai-style Fried Siopao!

13:45

We end the day at a local icon dedicated to preserving the heritage of Binondo and the safety of its citizens. Cafe Mezzanine, more commonly known as the Fireman’s Cafe is a local restaurant owned and operated by the food giant Eng Bee Tin! They are also a social enterprise with the goal of making sure Manila is safe from the destructive fires that have shaped its history! Here, we’ll try out some fusion dessert, a blending of Chinese and Filipino dishes designed to explode your expectations!
